ಹನ್ನೆರಡನೇ ವರುಷದ, ಹನ್ನೆರಡನೇ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ, ಮೊದಲನೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನನಗೆ ಬಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
Hanneradane varushada, hanneradane tingalina, modalane dinadalli kartana vaakyavu nanage bandu heliddenandare--

- 1ಹನ್ನೆರಡನೇ ವರುಷದ, ಹನ್ನೆರಡನೇ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ, ಮೊದಲನೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನನಗೆ ಬಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
- 2ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರನೇ, ಐಗುಪ್ತ ಅರಸನಾದ ಫರೋಹನ ವಿಷಯ ವಾಗಿ ಗೋಳಾಟವನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾ ದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನೀನು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಸಿಂಹಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮನಾಗಿರುವೆ; ಸಮುದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತಿಮಿಂಗಲದ ಹಾಗಿರುವೆ. ನೀನಿದ್ದ ನದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಭೇಧಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದ ನೀರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಕಲಕಿ ಹೊಳೆಗಳನ್ನು ತುಳಿದು ಬದಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.
- 3ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದುದ ರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಗುಂಪಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿದ ಬಹಳ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬೀಸುವೆನು; ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆಳೆಯುವರು.
