हे यहोवा, दाऊद के लिये उसकी सारी दुर्दशा को स्मरण कर;
A Song of degrees. LORD, remember David, [and] all his afflictions:
उस ने यहोवा से शपथ खाई, और याकूब के सर्वशक्तिमान की मन्नत मानी है,
How he sware unto the LORD, [and] vowed unto the mighty [God] of Jacob;
कि निश्चय मैं उस समय तक अपने घर में प्रवेश न करूंगा, और ने अपने पलंग पर चढूंगा;
Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;
न अपनी आंखों में नींद, और न अपनी पलकों में झपकी आने दूंगा,
I will not give sleep to mine eyes, [or] slumber to mine eyelids,
जब तक मैं यहोवा के लिये एक स्थान, अर्थात् याकूब के सर्वशक्तिमान के लिये निवास स्थान न पाऊं।।
Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty [God] of Jacob.
देखो, हम ने एप्राता में इसकी चर्चा सुनी है, हम ने इसको वन के खेतों में पाया है।
Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.
आओ, हम उसके निवास में प्रवेश करें, हम उसके चरणों की चौकी के आगे दण्डवत् करें!
We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.
हे यहोवा, उठकर अपने विश्रामस्थान में अपनी सामर्थ्य के सन्दूक समेत आ।
Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.
तेरे याजक धर्म के वस्त्रा पहिने रहें, और तेरे भक्त लोग जयजयकार करें।
Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.
अपने दास दाऊद के लिये अपने अभिषिक्त की प्रार्थना की अनसुनी न कर।।
For thy servant David’s sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.
यहोवा ने दाऊद से सच्ची शपथ खाई है और वह उस से न मुकरेगा: कि मैं तेरी गद्दी पर तेरे एक निज पुत्रा को बैठाऊंगा।
The LORD hath sworn [in] truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
यदि तेरे वंश के लोग मेरी वाचा का पालन करें और जो चितौनी मैं उन्हें सिखाऊंगा, उस पर चलें, तो उनके वंश के लोग भी तेरी गद्दी पर युग युग बैठते चले जाएंगे।
If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.
क्योंकि यहोवा ने सिरयोन को अपनाया है, और उसे अपने निवास के लिये चाहा है।।
For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired [it] for his habitation.
यह तो युग युग के लिये मेरा विश्रामस्थान हैं; यहीं मैं रहूंगा, क्योंकि मैं ने इसका चाहा है।
This [is] my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
मैं इस में की भोजनवस्तुओं पर अति आशीष दूंगा; और इसके दरिद्रों को रोटी से तृप्त करूंगा।
I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.
इसके याजकों को मैं उद्धार का वस्त्रा पहिनाऊंगा, और इसके भक्त लोग ऊंचे स्वर से जयजयकार करेंगे।
I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
वहां मैं दाऊद के एक सींग उगाऊंगा; मैं ने अपने अभिषिक्त के लिये एक दीपक तैयार कर रखा है।
There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.
मैं उसे शत्रुओं को तो लज्जा का वस्त्रा पहिनाऊंगा, परन्तु उसी के सिर पर उसका मुकुट शोभायमान रहेगा।।
His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.
