ದಾವೀದನ ಕಡೇ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಇವೇ--ಇಷಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ನುಡಿ ದನು; ಉನ್ನತವಾಗಿ ಏರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪುರುಷನು, ಯಾಕೋಬನ ದೇವರ ಅಭಿಷಕ್ತನು, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ರಮ್ಯವಾದ ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಾರನು ನುಡಿದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
Now these [be] the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man [who was] raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,
ಕರ್ತನ ಆತ್ಮನು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದನು; ಆತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು.
The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word [was] in my tongue.
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು; ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಬಂಡೆ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದು--ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳುವ ವನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿರತಕ್ಕದ್ದು; ಅವನು ದೇವರ ಭಯ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳುವನು.
The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men [must be] just, ruling in the fear of God.
ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಮೂಡಿರುವಂಥ, ಪ್ರಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಮೋಡಗಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವಂಥ, ಉದಯ ಕಾಲದ ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಮಳೆ ಬಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ಭೂಮಿಯಿಂದಾಗುವ ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇರು ವನು.
And [he shall be] as the light of the morning, [when] the sun riseth, [even] a morning without clouds; [as] the tender grass [springing] out of the earth by clear shining after rain.
ನನ್ನ ಮನೆ ದೇವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ನಿತ್ಯವಾದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಎಲ್ಲಾದರ ವಿಷಯ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾದ ದ್ದಾಗಿಯೂ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾದದ್ದಾಗಿಯೂ ಅದೆ. ಆತನು ಅದನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಯದೆ ಇದ್ದರೂ ನನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಭಿಲಾಷೆಯೂ ಅದೇ.
Although my house [be] not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all [things], and sure: for [this is] all my salvation, and all [my] desire, although he make [it] not to grow.
ಆದರೆ ಬೆಲಿಯಾಳನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಳ್ಳಲ್ಪಡುವ ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಇರುವರು.
But [the sons] of Belial [shall be] all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands:
ಅವರು ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವ ವರಲ್ಲ; ಅವರನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣ ವನ್ನೂ ಈಟಿಯ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯನ್ನೂ ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರ ಬೇಕು. ಅದೇ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟು ಬಿಡಲ್ಪಡುವರು.
But the man [that] shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the [same] place.
ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳ ಹೆಸರು ಗಳು ಇವೇ; ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯನಾಗಿ ಆಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೂತವನಾದ ತಹ್ಕೆಮೋನ್ಯನು; ಇವನೇ ಎಚ್ನಿಯನಾದ ಅದೀನೊ. ಇವನು ಎಂಟು ನೂರು ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಒಂದೇ ಸಾರಿ ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿದನು.
These [be] the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same [was] Adino the Eznite: [he lift up his spear] against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.
ಇವನ ತರುವಾಯ ಅಹೋಹ್ಯನಾ ಗಿರುವ ದೋದೋನ ಮಗನಾಗಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರನು. ಇವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಜನರು ಓಡಿಹೋದ ತರುವಾಯ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರನ್ನು ನಿಂದಿಸಿದ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಮೂವರು ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
And after him [was] Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, [one] of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines [that] were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away:
ಇವನು ಎದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ಕೈ ದಣಿದು ಕತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಆ ದಿನ ಕರ್ತನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಜನರು ಸುಲು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅವನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿದರು.
He arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil.
ಇವನ ತರುವಾಯ ಹರಾರ್ಯನಾಗಿರುವ ಆಗೇಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಶಮ್ಮ. ಅಲಸಂದಿಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ ಹೊಲ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ದಂಡಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ಜನರು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಮುಂದೆ ಓಡಿಹೋದರು.
And after him [was] Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentiles: and the people fled from the Philistines.
ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಆ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ದೊಡ್ಡರಕ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದನು.
But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD wrought a great victory.
ಮೂವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಹೊರಟು ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದುಲ್ಲಾಮ್‌ ಗವಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದಾವೀದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು; ಆಗ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದಂಡು ರೆಫಾಯಾಮ್‌ ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿ ದಿತ್ತು.
And three of the thirty chief went down, and came to David in the harvest time unto the cave of Adullam: and the troop of the Philistines pitched in the valley of Rephaim.
ದಾವೀದನು ಗಡಿ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದಂಡು ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು.
And David [was] then in an hold, and the garrison of the Philistines [was] then [in] Beth-lehem.
ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನ ಬಾಗಲ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಾವಿಯ ನೀರನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಕೊಡುವ ವನಾರೆಂದು ಬಹು ಆಶೆಯಿಂದ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Beth-lehem, which [is] by the gate!
ಆಗ ಆ ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿ ಯರ ದಂಡನ್ನು ಭೇದಿಸಿ ಹೊರಟು ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನ ಬಾಗಲ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಾವಿಯ ನೀರನ್ನು ಸೇದಿ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯಲ್ಲೊಲ್ಲದೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಗಾಗಿ ಹೊಯಿ ದನು.
And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Beth-lehem, that [was] by the gate, and took [it], and brought [it] to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD.
ಅವನು--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಇದನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವದು ನನಗೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರಲಿ. ಇದು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣದಾಶೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ರಕ್ತವಲ್ಲವೇ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಕುಡಿಯಲೊಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದನು. ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆ ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳು ಮಾಡಿದರು.
And he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: [is not this] the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.
ಯೋವಾಬನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಚೆರೂಯಳ ಮಗನಾಗಿರುವ ಅಬೀಷೈಯು ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನು. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಈಟಿಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಜನರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮೂವ ರೊಳಗೆ ಹೆಸರುಗೊಂಡನು.
And Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief among three. And he lifted up his spear against three hundred, [and] slew [them], and had the name among three.
ಈ ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಬಹು ಘನವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದದ್ದು ಇದ ರಿಂದಲೇ. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ನಾದನು. ಹೇಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಆ ಮೊದಲಿನ ಮೂರು ಜನಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು ಸಮಾನನಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Was he not most honourable of three? therefore he was their captain: howbeit he attained not unto the [first] three.
ಕಬ್ಜಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾ ವನ ಮಗನಾಗಿರುವ ಬೆನಾಯನು ಅನೇಕ ಶೂರ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಸಿಂಹದಹಾಗಿರುವ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಹಿಮಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಣಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಇಳಿದು ಒಂದು ಸಿಂಹವನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many acts, he slew two lionlike men of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow:
ಅವನು ರೂಪವುಳ್ಳ ಒಬ್ಬ ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಆ ಐಗುಪ್ತನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಈಟಿಯು ಇತ್ತು. ಇವನು ಒಂದು ಕೋಲನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಆ ಈಟಿಯನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಕಸಕೊಂಡು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಈಟಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದನು.
And he slew an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian’s hand, and slew him with his own spear.
ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋಯಾ ದಾವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬೆನಾಯನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಸರು ಗೊಂಡವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
These [things] did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among three mighty men.
ಇವನು ಮೂವತ್ತು ಜನರಿ ಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಘನವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು; ಆದರೆ ಆ ಮೊದಲಿನ ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿಗೆ ಅವನು ಸಮಾನ ನಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ದಾವೀದನು ಅವನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಮೈಗಾವಲಿ ನವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಜಮಾನನನ್ನಾಗಿಟ್ಟನು.
He was more honourable than the thirty, but he attained not to the [first] three. And David set him over his guard.
ಯೋವಾಬನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಅಸಾಹೇಲನು ಮೂವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಈ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಯಾರಂದರೆ; ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮ್‌ ಊರಿನ ದೋದೋವಿನ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಲ್ಹಾನಾನು;
Asahel the brother of Joab [was] one of the thirty; Elhanan the son of Dodo of Beth-lehem,
ಹರೋದಿನವನಾದ ಶಮ್ಮನು, ಎಲೀಕನು, ಪೆಲೆಟ ನಾದ ಹೆಲೆಚ್‌,
Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,
ತೆಕೋವಿಯನಾದ ಇಕ್ಕೇಷನ ಮಗನಾದ ಈರಾ.
Helez the Paltite, Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite,
ಅಣತೋತಿನವನಾದ ಅಬೀ ಯೆಜರ್‌, ಹುಷಾ ಊರಿನವನಾದ ಮೆಬುನೈ, ಅಹೋಹಿನವನಾದ ಚಲ್ಮೋನ್‌,
Abiezer the Anethothite, Mebunnai the Hushathite,
ನೆಟೋಫದ ವನಾದ ಮಹರೈ,
Zalmon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite,
ನೆಟೋಫದವನಾದ ಬಾಣನ ಮಗ ಹೆಲೇಬ್‌,
Heleb the son of Baanah, a Netophathite, Ittai the son of Ribai out of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin,
ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಗಿಬೆ ಊರಿನವನಾದ ರೀಬೈ ಮಗನಾದ ಇತೈ,
Benaiah the Pirathonite, Hiddai of the brooks of Gaash,
ಪಿತೋನ್ಯ ನಾದ ಬೆನಾಯನು, ನಹಲೇ ಗಾಷ್‌ ಊರಿನವನಾದ ಹಿದೈ ಅರಾಬಾದ ಅಬೀಅಲ್ಬೋನ್‌, ಬರ್ಹುಮ್ಯನಾದ ಅಜ್ಮಾವೇತನು, ಶಾಲ್ಬೋನ್ಯನಾದ ಎಲೆಯಖ್ಬಾ
Abi-albon the Arbathite, Azmaveth the Barhumite,
ಯಾಷೇನನ ಕುಮಾರರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದ ಯೋನಾತಾ ನನು,
Eliahba the Shaalbonite, of the sons of Jashen, Jonathan,
ಹರಾರ್ಯನಾದ ಶಮ್ಮನು,
Shammah the Hararite, Ahiam the son of Sharar the Hararite,
ಅರಾರ್ಯನಾದ ಶಾರಾರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಹೀಯಾಮ್‌, ಮಾಕಾತ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಮಗನಾಗಿರುವ ಅಹಸ್ಬೈ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಲೀಫೆ ಲೆಟನು, ಗಿಲೋವಿಯನಾಗಿರುವ ಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಲೀಯಾಮನು,
Eliphelet the son of Ahasbai, the son of the Maachathite, Eliam the son of Ahithophel the Gilonite,
ಕರ್ಮೇಲ್ಯನಾದ ಹೆಚ್ರೊ, ಅರ್ಬಿಯನಾದ ಪಾರೈ, ಚೋಬದವನಾದ ನಾತಾನ್‌ ಮಗನಾಗಿರುವ ಇಗಾಲ್‌,
Hezrai the Carmelite, Paarai the Arbite,
ಗಾದ್ಯನಾದ ಬಾನಿ, ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್ಯನಾದ ಚೇಲೆಕ್‌,
Igal the son of Nathan of Zobah, Bani the Gadite,
ಚೆರೂಯಳ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋವಾಬನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಬೇರೋತ್ಯನಾದ ನಹರೈ,
Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Beerothite, armourbearer to Joab the son of Zeruiah,
ಇತ್ರಿಯರಾದ ಈರಾ ಗಾರೇಬನು,ಹಿತ್ತಿಯನಾದ ಊರೀಯನು ಇವ ರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮೂವತ್ತೇಳು ಮಂದಿಯು.
Ira an Ithrite, Gareb an Ithrite,
ಹಿತ್ತಿಯನಾದ ಊರೀಯನು ಇವ ರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮೂವತ್ತೇಳು ಮಂದಿಯು.
