శిక్షను ప్రేమించువాడు జ్ఞానమును ప్రేమించువాడు గద్దింపును అసహ్యించుకొనువాడు పశుప్రాయుడు
Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof [is] brutish.
సత్పురుషునికి యెహోవా కటాక్షము చూపును దురాలోచనలుగలవాడు నేరస్థుడని ఆయన తీర్పు తీర్చును.
A good [man] obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.
భక్తిహీనతవలన ఎవరును స్థిరపరచబడరు నీతిమంతుల వేరు కదలదు
A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.
యోగ్యురాలు తన పెనిమిటికి కిరీటము సిగ్గు తెచ్చునది వాని యెముకలకు కుళ్లు.
A virtuous woman [is] a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed [is] as rottenness in his bones.
నీతిమంతుల తలంపులు న్యాయయుక్తములు భక్తిహీనులు చెప్పు ఆలోచనలు మోసకరములు.
The thoughts of the righteous [are] right: [but] the counsels of the wicked [are] deceit.
భక్తిహీనుల మాటలు నరహత్య చేయ పొంచువారి వంటివి యథార్థవంతుల నోరు వారిని విడిపించును.
The words of the wicked [are] to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.
భక్తిహీనులు పాడై లేకపోవుదురు నీతిమంతుల యిల్లు నిలుచును.
The wicked are overthrown, and [are] not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.
ఒక్కొక్క మనుష్యుడు తన వివేకముకొలది పొగడబడును కుటిలచిత్తుడు తృణీకరింపబడును.
A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.
ఆహారము లేకయున్నను తనను తాను పొగడుకొను వానికంటె దాసుడుగల అల్పుడు గొప్పవాడు.
[He that is] despised, and hath a servant, [is] better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.
నీతిమంతుడు తన పశువుల ప్రాణమును దయతో చూచును భక్తిహీనుల వాత్సల్యము క్రూరత్వమే.
A righteous [man] regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked [are] cruel.
తన భూమిని సేద్యపరచుకొనువానికి ఆహారము సమృద్ధిగా కలుగును వ్యర్థమైనవాటిని అనుసరించువాడు బుద్ధిలేనివాడు.
He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain [persons is] void of understanding.
భక్తిహీనులు చెడ్డవారికి దొరుకు దోపుడుసొమ్మును అపేక్షించుదురు నీతిమంతుల వేరు చిగుర్చును.
The wicked desireth the net of evil [men:] but the root of the righteous yieldeth [fruit].
పెదవులవలని దోషము అపాయకరమైన ఉరి నీతిమంతుడు ఆపదను తప్పించుకొనును.
The wicked is snared by the transgression of [his] lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.
ఒకడు తన నోటి ఫలము చేత తృప్తిగా మేలుపొందును ఎవని క్రియల ఫలము వానికి వచ్చును.
A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of [his] mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.
మూఢుని మార్గము వాని దృష్టికి సరియైనది జ్ఞానముగలవాడు ఆలోచన నంగీకరించును.
The way of a fool [is] right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel [is] wise.
మూఢుడు కోపపడునది నిమిషములోనే బయలుపడును వివేకి నిందను వెల్లడిపరచక యూరకుండును.
A fool’s wrath is presently known: but a prudent [man] covereth shame.
సత్యవాద ప్రియుడు నీతిగల మాటలు పలుకును కూటసాక్షి మోసపు మాటలు చెప్పును.
[He that] speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.
కత్తిపోటువంటి మాటలు పలుకువారు కలరు జ్ఞానుల నాలుక ఆరోగ్యదాయకము.
There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise [is] health.
నిజమాడు పెదవులు నిత్యము స్థిరమై యుండును అబద్ధమాడు నాలుక క్షణమాత్రమే యుండును.
The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue [is] but for a moment.
కీడు కల్పించువారి హృదయములో మోసముకలదు సమాధానపరచుటకై ఆలోచన చెప్పువారు సంతోష భరితులగుదురు.
Deceit [is] in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace [is] joy.
నీతిమంతునికి ఏ ఆపదయు సంభవింపదు. భక్తిహీనులు కీడుతో నిండియుందురు.
There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.
అబద్దమాడు పెదవులు యెహోవాకు హేయములు సత్యవర్తనులు ఆయనకిష్టులు.
Lying lips [are] abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly [are] his delight.
వివేకియైనవాడు తన విద్యను దాచి పెట్టును అవివేక హృదయులు తమ మూఢత్వము వెల్లడి చేయుదురు.
A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.
శ్రద్ధగా పని చేయువారు ఏలుబడి చేయుదురు సోమరులు వెట్టి పనులు చేయవలసి వచ్చును.
The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
ఒకని హృదయములోని విచారము దాని క్రుంగ జేయును దయగల మాట దాని సంతోషపెట్టును.
Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
నీతిమంతుడు తన పొరుగువానికి దారి చూపును భక్తిహీనుల ప్రవర్తన వారిని దారి తప్పించును.
The righteous [is] more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.
సోమరి వేటాడినను పట్టుకొనడు చురుకుగా నుండుట గొప్ప భాగ్యము.
The slothful [man] roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man [is] precious.
నీతిమార్గమునందు జీవము కలదు దాని త్రోవలో మరణమే లేదు.
In the way of righteousness [is] life; and [in] the pathway [thereof there is] no death.
