1. ದೇವರು ಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡಿ ತನ್ನ ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು; ಆತನನ್ನು ನಂಬುವ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ನಾಶವಾಗದೆ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವ ವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದವನಾಗಿರುವನು.

   For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

2. ನೀನು ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ವನ್ನು ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಅರಿಕೆಮಾಡಿ ದೇವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿದರೆ ನಿನಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಾಗುವದು ಎಂಬದೇ. ಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ನಂಬುವದರ ಮೂಲಕ ನೀತಿಯು ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಅರಿಕೆಮಾಡುವದರ ಮೂಲಕ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

   That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

3. ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಕೃಪೆ ಯಿಂದಲೇ ನೀವು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದಿದವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯು ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದುಂಟಾದದ್ದಲ್ಲ, ಅದು ದೇವರ ದಾನವೇ. ಅದು ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾದದ್ದಲ್ಲ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ಹೊಗಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಆಸ್ಪದ ವಿಲ್ಲ.

   For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

4. ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯು ಇನ್ನಾರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಆಕಾಶದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಡ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದಲೂ ನಮಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

   Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

5. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪಾಪದ ಸಂಬಳ ಮರಣ. ಆದರೆ ದೇವರ ದಾನವು ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವವು.

   For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

6. ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಾನೇ ಮಾರ್ಗವೂ ಸತ್ಯವೂ ಜೀವವೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನನ್ನ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಹೊರತು ಯಾರೂ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

   Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

7. ಅವರು--ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡು, ಆಗ ನೀನು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದುವಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರೂ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದು ವರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

   And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

8. ನಾವು ಮಾಡಿದ ನೀತಿಯ ಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಗಳಿಂದಲ್ಲ, ಆತನ ಕರುಣೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಪುನರ್ಜನ್ಮದ ತೊಳೆಯುವಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನು ನೂತನ ಸ್ವಭಾವವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುವದರಿಂದಲೂ ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದನು.

   Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

9. ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ನೂತನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಹಳೆಯವುಗಳು ಅಳಿದುಹೋದವು; ಇಗೋ, ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ನೂತನವಾದವು.

   Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

10. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿ ದೇವರ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿ ದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ನೀತಿವಂತರೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯ ಹೊಂದುವದು ಆತನ ಉಚಿತಾರ್ಥವಾದ ಕೃಪೆ ಯಿಂದಲೇ. ಇದು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಿಂದಾದ ವಿಮೋ ಚನೆಯ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಆಗುವದು.

    For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

11. ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸು ಪಾಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಈ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವದು ನಂಬತಕ್ಕದ್ದಾಗಿಯೂ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗೀಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾದದ್ದಾಗಿಯೂ ಅದೆ; ಆ ಪಾಪಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನೇ ಮುಖ್ಯನು.

    This [is] a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

12. ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಬಾಗಿಲ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ತಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ; ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಬಾಗಿಲನ್ನು ತೆರೆದರೆ ನಾನು ಒಳಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಊಟ ಮಾಡುವೆನು, ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಊಟ ಮಾಡುವನು.

    Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
