  1. ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವವುಗಳ ನಿಜ ಲಕ್ಷಣವೂ ಕಾಣದವುಗಳ ನಿದರ್ಶನವೂ ಆಗಿದೆ.

    Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

  2. ಆದರೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವದು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವವನು ದೇವರು ಇದ್ದಾನೆ, ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಜಾಗ್ರತೆಯಾಗಿ ಹುಡುಕು ವವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ನಂಬು ವದು ಅವಶ್ಯ.

    But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

  3. ಕೇಳುವದರಿಂದ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯುಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವದ ರಿಂದಲೇ.

  4. ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ --ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡಿರಿ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಈ ಬೆಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ--ನೀನು ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಸಮುದ್ರ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಶಯ ಪಡದೆ ತಾನು ಹೇಳಿದವುಗಳು ಆಗುವವೆಂದು ನಂಬಿ ದರೆ ಅವನು ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಆಗುವದು. ಆದ ಕಾರಣ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ನೀವು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಯಾವವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಶಿಸು ತ್ತೀರೋ ಅವು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವವೆಂದು ನಂಬಿರಿ; ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀವು ಹೊಂದುವಿರಿ.

    And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them].

    For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

    And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

  10. ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನಾನು ಜೀವಿ ಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಇನ್ನು ಜೀವಿಸುವವನು ನಾನಲ್ಲ, ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಈಗ ಶರೀರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಾನು ಜೀವಿಸುವದು ದೇವಕುಮಾರನ ಮೇಲಣ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ, ಆತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ತನ್ನನ್ನೇನಾನು ದೇವರ ಕೃಪೆಯನ್ನು ನಿರರ್ಥಕ ಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣದಿಂದ ನೀತಿಯುಂಟಾಗುವದಾದರೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಮರಣವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಯಿತು.

    I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

  11. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿರು ವಂಥದೆಲ್ಲವು ಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಿದಂಥ ಆ ಜಯವು ನಮ್ಮ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯೇ.

  12. ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವಿಡು; ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಧಾರ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ. ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸು. ಆಗ ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಾಗಮಾಡುವನು.

    Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
