1. ನೀನಂತೂ ಹೆದರಬೇಡ; ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ದಿಗ್ಭ್ರಮೆಗೊಳ್ಳದಿರು. ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರು; ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿ ಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಹೌದು, ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡು ತ್ತೇನೆ. ಹೌದು, ನನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯ ಬಲಗೈಯಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತೇನೆ.

   Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

2. ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಬೆಳಕೂ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನಾನು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡು ವೆನು? ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದ ಬಲವಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನಾನು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಹೆದರುವೆನು?

   [A Psalm] of David. The LORD [is] my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD [is] the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

3. ದೇವರು ನಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಆತ್ಮವು ಬಲ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಬುದ್ಧಿಯ ಆತ್ಮವೇ ಹೊರತು ಭಯದ ಆತ್ಮವಲ್ಲ.

   For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

4. ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾಳೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಚಿಂತೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾಳಿನ ದಿನವು ತನಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಪಟ್ಟವುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ತಾನೇ ಚಿಂತಿಸುವದು. ಆ ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಅದರ ಕಾಟ ಸಾಕು.

   Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.

5. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಚಿಂತೆಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿರಿ, ಆತನು ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಚಿಂತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

   Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

6. ನನಗೆ ಹೆದರಿಕೆ ಉಂಟಾದಾಗ ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವಿ ಡುವೆನು.

   What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

7. ನಿನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾ ಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನಲ್ಲಾ; ಬಲವಾಗಿರು, ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದಿರು; ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ, ನಿರಾಶೆಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ. ನೀನು ಹೋಗು ವಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

   Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God [is] with thee whithersoever thou goest.

8. ಈಗಲಾದರೋ ಓ ಯಾಕೋಬೇ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದಾತನೂ ರೂಪಿಸಿದಾತನೂ ಆದ ಕರ್ತನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಹೆದರಬೇಡ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿದೆನಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರು ಹಿಡಿದು ಕರೆದೆನಲ್ಲಾ; ನೀನು ನನ್ನವನೇ. ನೀನು ಜಲರಾಶಿಯನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗಿರುವೆನು; ನದಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನು ದಾಟುವಾಗ ಅವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮುಳುಗಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ನಡೆಯುವಾಗ ಸುಡಲ್ಪಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಜ್ವಾಲೆಯು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ದಹಿಸದು.

   But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called [thee] by thy name; thou [art] mine. When thou passest through the waters, I [will be] with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

9. ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಭಯಂಕರತೆಗೂ ಹಗಲಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾರುವ ಬಾಣಕ್ಕೂ ಅಂಧಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಜಾಡ್ಯಕ್ಕೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡುವ ನಾಶನಕ್ಕೂ ನೀನು ಭಯಪಡದೆ ಇರುವಿ.

   Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; [nor] for the arrow [that] flieth by day; [Nor] for the pestilence [that] walketh in darkness; [nor] for the destruction [that] wasteth at noonday.

10. ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನನ್ನ ಸಮಾಧಾನವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಲೋಕವು ಕೊಡುವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವು ಕಳವಳಗೊಳ್ಳ ದಿರಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅಂಜದಿರಲಿ.

    Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

11. ಬಲವಾಗಿರ್ರಿ; ಧೈರ್ಯವಾಗಿರ್ರಿ; ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಬೇಡಿರಿ; ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ತಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ, ವಿಸರ್ಜಿಸುವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

    Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he [it is] that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

12. ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಪರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನಾನು ಭಯಪಡೆನು; ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನನಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡುವನು?

    The LORD [is] on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
