1. ನಮ್ಮ ದ್ರೋಹಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಗಾಯವಾಯಿತು, ನಮ್ಮ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಆತನು ಜಜ್ಜಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು; ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಧಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾದ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯು ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿತ್ತು; ಆತನ ಬಾಸುಂಡೆ ಗಳಿಂದ ನಮಗೆ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥವಾಯಿತು.

   But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

2. ಯೇಸು ಆ ಹುಳಿರಸವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡ ಮೇಲೆ--ತೀರಿತು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ತನ್ನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬಾಗಿಸಿ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

   When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

3. ಆಗ ಯೇಸು--ತಂದೆಯೇ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ತಾವು ಏನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆಂದು ಅವರು ಅರಿಯರು ಅಂದನು. ಅವರು ಆತನ ಉಡುಪನ್ನು ಪಾಲು ಮಾಡಿ ಚೀಟು ಹಾಕಿದರು.

   Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

4. ಆದರೆ ನಾವು ಪಾಪಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗಲೂ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ನಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರಾಣಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ತನಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

   But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

5. ನಾವು ಪಾಪಗಳ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಸತ್ತು ನೀತಿವಂತರಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸುವಂತೆ ಆತನು ಮರದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪ ಗಳನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ತನ್ನ ದೇಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊತ್ತನು; ಆತನ ಬಾಸುಂಡೆಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಮಗೆ ಗುಣವಾಯಿತು.ನೀವು ಕುರಿಗಳಂತೆ ದಾರಿ ತಪ್ಪಿದವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ನೀವು ತಿರಿಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆತ್ಮಗಳ ಕುರುಬನೂ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷನೂ ಆಗಿರುವಾತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

   Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

6. ಆ ದೂತನು ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರಿಗೆ-- ನೀವು ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನಾದ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತೀರೆಂದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು. ಆತನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಆತನು ಹೇಳಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆತನು ಎದ್ದಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಕರ್ತನು ಮಲಗಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಬಂದು ನೋಡಿರಿ.

   And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

7. ಯೇಸು ಆಕೆಗೆ--ನಾನೇ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನವೂ ಜೀವವೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಡುವವನು ಸತ್ತರೂ ಬದುಕುವನು; ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಬದುಕುತ್ತಾ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡುವದಾದರೆ ಅವನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಸಾಯುವ ದಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದನ್ನು ನೀನು ನಂಬುತ್ತೀಯೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ

   Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

8. ನಾನು ಸಹ ಎಲ್ಲಾದಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಮೊದಲು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅದೇನಂದರೆ, ಬರಹದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಸತ್ತನು. ಹೂಣಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು; ಬರಹದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಆತನು ಮೂರನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಎದ್ದುಬಂದನು.

   For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

9. ಓ ಮರಣವೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕೊಂಡಿಯೆಲ್ಲಿ? ಓ ಸಮಾಧಿಯೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಜಯವೆಲ್ಲಿ? ಮರಣದ ಕೊಂಡಿ ಪಾಪವೇ; ಪಾಪದ ಬಲವು ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣವೇ. ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಮೂಲಕ ನಮಗೆ ಜಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರ.ಆದದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಸ್ಥಿರಚಿತ್ತರಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿಶ್ಚಲರಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರ್ರಿ. ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಡುವ ಪ್ರಯಾಸವು ನಿಷ್ಪಲವಾಗುವದಿ ಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಕರ್ತನ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಅತ್ಯಾಸಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾಡುವವರಾಗಿರ್ರಿ.

   O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory? The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law. But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

10. ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಆತನ ಮರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲುಗಾರರಾಗು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೂಣಲ್ಪಟ್ಟೆವು; ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ತಂದೆಯ ಮಹಿಮೆಯಿಂದ ಹೇಗೆ ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಾವು ಕೂಡ ಜೀವ ದಿಂದೆದ್ದು ನೂತನ ಜೀವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.

    Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

11. ಹೀಗೆ ಆತನನ್ನೂ ಆತನ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನ ದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಆತನ ಬಾಧೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲುಗಾರ ನಾಗುವದನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಆತನ ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸರೂಪನಾಗುವೆನು.

    That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

12. ಸತ್ತವನಾದೆನು,ಈಗ ಬದುಕುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಎಂದೆಂ ದಿಗೂ ಬದುಕುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆಮೆನ್‌. ನರಕದ ಮತ್ತು ಮರಣದ ಬೀಗದ ಕೈಗಳೂ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವೆ.

    I [am] he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
