1. ಇಗೋ, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕರ್ತನಿಂದ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ಥ್ಯವಾಗಿ ದ್ದಾರೆ; ಗರ್ಭಫಲವು ಆತನ ಬಹುಮಾನವಾಗಿದೆ.

   Lo, children [are] an heritage of the LORD: [and] the fruit of the womb [is his] reward.

2. ನಡೆಯಬೇಕಾದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವಂತೆ ಹುಡುಗನಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕೊಡು; ಆಗ ಮುಪ್ಪಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವನು ಅದ ರಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

   Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

3. ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಗೊಡಿಸಿರಿ; ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಮಾಡ ಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಇಂಥವರದೇ ಅಂದನು.

   But when Jesus saw [it], he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

4. ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆ ತಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿಧೇಯರಾಗಿರ್ರಿ; ಇದು ನ್ಯಾಯವಾದದ್ದು. ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನೂ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಬೇಕು, ಇದು ವಾಗ್ದಾನಸಹಿತವಾದ ಮೊದಲನೇ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದರೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಮೇಲಾಗುವದು, ನೀನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಹು ಕಾಲ ಬದುಕುವಿ. ತಂದೆಗಳೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸದೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಉಪದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿರಿ.

   Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

5. ನಾನು ಈಹೊತ್ತು ನಿನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಬೇಕು. ಅವು ಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸಮಾಡಿಸಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತಿರುವಾಗಲೂ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುವಾಗಲೂ ಮಲಗುವಾಗಲೂ ಏಳುವಾಗಲೂ ಅವುಗಳ ವಿಷಯ ವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಬೇಕು.

   And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

6. ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕರ್ತನಿಂದ ಬೋಧಿಸಲ್ಪಡು ವರು; ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಮಾಧಾನವು ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿರು ವದು.

   And all thy children [shall be] taught of the LORD; and great [shall be] the peace of thy children.

7. ನಾನು ಭಯಭರಿತನಾಗಿಯೂ ಅದ್ಭುತ ವಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾ ಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸಗಳು ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳಾಗಿವೆ ಎಂದು ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದಿದೆ;

   I will praise thee; for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made: marvellous [are] thy works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well.

8. ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಯನ್ನು ಮರೆಯಬೇಡ. ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಲಿ: ಆಗ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ದಿನಗಳೂ ದೀರ್ಘಾಯುಷ್ಯವೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನವೂ ನಿನಗೆ ಕೂಡಿಸ ಲ್ಪಡುವವು.

   My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

9. ಚಿಕ್ಕವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನಾದರೂ ನೀವು ತಾತ್ಸಾರ ಮಾಡದಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ದೂತರು ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.

   Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

10. ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿಧೇಯ ರಾಗಿರ್ರಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಇದು ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

    Children, obey [your] parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

11. ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ನೀವು ಬಂದು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ; ನಾನು ಕರ್ತನ ಭಯವನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಲಿಸುವೆನು.

    Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

12. ನನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನನುಸರಿಸಿ ನಡೆಯುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಕೇಳುವ ದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ಸಂತೋಷವು ನನಗಿಲ್ಲ.

    I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
