అప్పుడు తేమానీయుడైన ఎలీఫజు ఈలాగున ప్రత్యుత్తరమిచ్చెను
Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
నరులు దేవునికి ప్రయోజనకారులగుదురా? కారు;బుద్ధిమంతులు తమమట్టుకు తామే ప్రయోజనకారులై యున్నారు
Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?
నీవు నీతిమంతుడవై యుండుట సర్వశక్తుడగు దేవునికి సంతోషమా?నీవు యథార్థవంతుడవై ప్రవర్తించుట ఆయనకు లాభకరమా?
[Is it] any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or [is it] gain [to him], that thou makest thy ways perfect?
ఆయనయందు భయభక్తులు కలిగియున్నందున ఆయన నిన్ను గద్దించునా? నీ భయభక్తులనుబట్టి ఆయన నీతో వ్యాజ్యెమాడునా?
Will he reprove thee for fear of thee? will he enter with thee into judgment?
నీ చెడుతనము గొప్పది కాదా?నీ దోషములు మితిలేనివి కావా?
[Is] not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities infinite?
ఏమియు ఇయ్యకయే నీ సోదరులయొద్ద నీవు తాకట్టు పుచ్చుకొంటివి వస్త్రహీనుల బట్టలను తీసికొంటివి
For thou hast taken a pledge from thy brother for nought, and stripped the naked of their clothing.
దప్పిచేత ఆయాసపడినవారికి నీళ్లియ్యవైతివి ఆకలిగొనినవానికి అన్నము పెట్టకపోతివి.
Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, and thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.
బాహుబలముగల మనుష్యునికే భూమి ప్రాప్తించును ఘనుడని యెంచబడినవాడు దానిలో నివసించును.
But [as for] the mighty man, he had the earth; and the honourable man dwelt in it.
విధవరాండ్రను వట్టిచేతులతో పంపివేసితివి తండ్రిలేనివారి చేతులు విరుగగొట్టితివి.
Thou hast sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.
కావుననే బోనులు నిన్ను చుట్టుకొనుచున్నవి ఆకస్మిక భయము నిన్ను బెదరించుచున్నది.
Therefore snares [are] round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;
నిన్ను చిక్కించుకొన్న అంధకారమును నీవు చూచుట లేదా?నిన్ను ముంచబోవు ప్రళయజలములను నీవు చూచుట లేదా?
Or darkness, [that] thou canst not see; and abundance of waters cover thee.
దేవుడు ఆకాశమంత మహోన్నతుడు కాడా?నక్షత్రముల ఔన్నత్యమును చూడుము అవి ఎంతపైగా నున్నవి?
[Is] not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!
దేవునికి ఏమి తెలియును?గాఢాంధకారములోనుండి ఆయన న్యాయము కనుగొనునా?
And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?
గాఢమైన మేఘములు ఆయనకు చాటుగా నున్నవి, ఆయన చూడలేదుఆకాశములో ఆయన తిరుగుచున్నాడు అని నీవనుకొనుచున్నావు.
Thick clouds [are] a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.
పూర్వమునుండి దుష్టులు అనుసరించిన మార్గమును నీవు అనుసరించెదవా?
Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden?
వారు అకాలముగా ఒక నిమిషములో నిర్మూలమైరివారి పునాదులు జలప్రవాహమువలె కొట్టుకొని పోయెను.
Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood:
ఆయన మంచి పదార్థములతో వారి యిండ్లను నింపినను
Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?
మాయొద్ద నుండి తొలగిపొమ్మనియు సర్వశక్తుడగు దేవుడు మాకు ఏమి చేయుననియు వారు దేవునితో అందురు. భక్తిహీనుల ఆలోచన నాకు దూరమై యుండునుగాక.
Yet he filled their houses with good [things:] but the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
మన విరోధులు నిశ్చయముగా నిర్మూలమైరనియు వారి సంపదను అగ్ని కాల్చివేసెననియు పలుకుచు
The righteous see [it], and are glad: and the innocent laugh them to scorn.
నీతిమంతులు దాని చూచి సంతోషించుదురు నిర్దోషులు వారిని హేళన చేయుదురు.
Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth.
ఆయనతో సహవాసము చేసినయెడల నీకు సమాధానము కలుగునుఆలాగున నీకు మేలు కలుగును.
Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.
ఆయన నోటి ఉపదేశమును అవలంబించుము ఆయన మాటలను నీ హృదయములో ఉంచుకొనుము.
Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.
సర్వశక్తునివైపు నీవు తిరిగినయెడలనీ గుడారములలో నుండి దుర్మార్గమును దూరముగా తొలగించినయెడల నీవు అభివృద్ధి పొందెదవు.
If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.
మంటిలో నీ బంగారమును ఏటిరాళ్లలో ఓఫీరు సువర్ణమును పారవేయుము
Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the [gold] of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.
అప్పుడు సర్వశక్తుడు నీకు అపరంజిగాను ప్రశస్తమైన వెండిగాను ఉండును.
Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.
అప్పుడు సర్వశక్తునియందు నీవు ఆనందించెదవుదేవునితట్టు నీ ముఖము ఎత్తెదవు.
For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.
నీవు ఆయనకు ప్రార్థనచేయగాఆయన నీ మనవి నాలకించునునీ మ్రొక్కుబళ్లు నీవు చెల్లించెదవు.
Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.
మరియు నీవు దేనినైన యోచనచేయగా అది నీకుస్థిరపరచబడునునీ మార్గములమీద వెలుగు ప్రకాశించును.
Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
నీవు పడద్రోయబడినప్పుడుమీదు చూచెదనందువువినయముగలవానిని ఆయన రక్షించును.
When [men] are cast down, then thou shalt say, [There is] lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
నిర్దోషికానివానినైనను ఆయన విడిపించును. అతడు నీ చేతుల శుద్ధివలన విడిపింపబడును.
He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.
