అప్పుడు యోబు ఈలాగున ప్రత్యుత్తరమిచ్చెను
But Job answered and said,
నా మాట మీరు జాగ్రత్తగా వినుడి నా మాట మీ ఆదరణ మాటకు ప్రతిగా నుండుగాక.
Hear diligently my speech, and let this be your consolations.
నాకు సెలవిచ్చినయెడల నేను మాటలాడెదను నేను మాటలాడిన తరువాత మీరు అపహాస్యము చేయవచ్చును.
Suffer me that I may speak; and after that I have spoken, mock on.
నేను మనుష్యుని గురించి మొఱ్ఱపెట్టుకొన్నానా? లేదు గనుక నేను ఏల ఆతురపడకూడదు?
As for me, [is] my complaint to man? and if [it were so], why should not my spirit be troubled?
నన్ను తేరిచూచి ఆశ్చర్యపడుడి నోటిమీద చేయి వేసికొనుడి.
Mark me, and be astonished, and lay [your] hand upon [your] mouth.
నేను దాని మనస్సునకు తెచ్చుకొనిన యెడల నాకేమియు తోచకున్నది నా శరీరమునకు వణకు పుట్టుచున్నది.
Even when I remember I am afraid, and trembling taketh hold on my flesh.
భక్తిహీనులు ఏల బ్రదుకుదురు? వారు వృద్ధులై బలాభివృద్ధి ఏల నొందుదురు?
Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power?
వారుండగానే వారితోకూడ వారి సంతానము వారు చూచుచుండగా వారి కుటుంబము స్థిరపరచబడుచున్నది.
Their seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes.
వారి కుటుంబములు భయమేమియు లేక క్షేమముగా నున్నవి దేవుని దండము వారిమీద పడుట లేదు.
Their houses [are] safe from fear, neither [is] the rod of God upon them.
వారి గొడ్లు దాటగా తప్పక చూలు కలుగునువారి ఆవులు ఈచుకపోక ఈనును.
Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf.
వారు తమ పిల్లలను మందలు మందలుగా బయటికి పంపుదురు వారి పిల్లలు నటనము చేయుదురు.
They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance.
తంబుర స్వరమండలములను పట్టుకొని వాయించుదురు సానికనాదము విని సంతోషించుదురు.
They take the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ.
వారు శ్రేయస్సుకలిగి తమ దినములు గడుపుదురు ఒక్కక్షణములోనే పాతాళమునకు దిగుదురు.
They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave.
వారు నీ మార్గములను గూర్చిన జ్ఞానము మాకక్కరలేదు నీవు మమ్మును విడిచిపొమ్మని దేవునితో చెప్పుదురు.
Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.
మేము ఆయనను సేవించుటకు సర్వశక్తుడగువాడెవడు? మేము ఆయననుగూర్చి ప్రార్థనచేయుట చేత మాకేమి లాభము కలుగును? అని వారు చెప్పుదురు
What [is] the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?
వారి క్షేమము వారి చేతిలో లేదు భక్తిహీనుల యోచన నాకు దూరముగా నుండును గాక.
Lo, their good [is] not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
భక్తిశూన్యుల దీపము ఆర్పివేయబడుట అరుదుగదా. వారిమీదికి ఆపదవచ్చుట బహు అరుదు గదా.
How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! and [how oft] cometh their destruction upon them! [God] distributeth sorrows in his anger.
వారు తుపాను ఎదుట కొట్టుకొనిపోవు చెత్తవలెనుగాలి యెగరగొట్టు పొట్టువలెను ఉండునట్లు ఆయన కోపపడి వారికి వేదనలు నియమించుట అరుదు గదా.
They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.
వారి పిల్లలమీద మోపుటకై దేవుడు వారి పాపమును దాచిపెట్టునేమో? అని మీరు చెప్పుచున్నారుచేసినవారు దానిని అనుభవించునట్లు ఆయన వారికే ప్రతిఫలమిచ్చును గాక
God layeth up his iniquity for his children: he rewardeth him, and he shall know [it].
వారే కన్నులార తమ నాశనమును చూతురుగాక సర్వశక్తుడగు దేవుని కోపాగ్నిని వారు త్రాగుదురుగాక. తమ జీవితకాలము సమాప్తమైన తరువాత
His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the wrath of the Almighty.
తాము పోయిన తరువాత తమ ఇంటిమీద వారికి చింత ఏమి?
For what pleasure [hath] he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst?
ఎవడైనను దేవునికి జ్ఞానము నేర్పునా? పరలోకవాసులకు ఆయన తీర్పు తీర్చును గదా.
Shall [any] teach God knowledge? seeing he judgeth those that are high.
ఒకడు తన కడవలలో పాలు నిండియుండగను తన యెముకలలో మూలుగ బలిసియుండగను
One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.
సంపూర్ణ సౌఖ్యమును నెమ్మదియును కలిగి నిండు ఆయుష్యముతో మృతినొందును
His breasts are full of milk, and his bones are moistened with marrow.
వేరొకడు ఎన్నడును క్షేమమనుదాని నెరుగక మనోదుఃఖము గలవాడై మృతినొందును.
And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul, and never eateth with pleasure.
వారు సమానముగ మంటిలో పండుకొందురు పురుగులు వారిద్దరిని కప్పును.
They shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms shall cover them.
మీ తలంపులు నేనెరుగుదును మీరు నామీద అన్యాయముగా పన్నుచున్న పన్నాగములు నాకు తెలిసినవి.
Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices [which] ye wrongfully imagine against me.
అధిపతుల మందిరము ఎక్కడ నున్నది? భక్తిహీనులు నివసించిన గుడారము ఎక్కడ ఉన్నది అని మీరడుగుచున్నారే.
For ye say, Where [is] the house of the prince? and where [are] the dwelling places of the wicked?
దేశమున సంచరించు వారిని మీరడుగలేదా?వారు తెలియజేసిన సంగతులు మీరు గురుతు పట్ట లేదా?
Have ye not asked them that go by the way? and do ye not know their tokens,
అవి ఏవనగా దుర్జనులు ఆపత్కాలమందు కాపాడబడుదురు ఉగ్రతదినమందు వారు తోడుకొని పోబడుదురు.
That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.
వారి ప్రవర్తనను బట్టి వారితో ముఖాముఖిగా మాటలనగలవాడెవడు? వారు చేసినదానినిబట్టి వారికి ప్రతికారము చేయువాడెవడు?
Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall repay him [what] he hath done?
వారు సమాధికి తేబడుదురు సమాధి శ్రద్ధగా కావలికాయబడును
Yet shall he be brought to the grave, and shall remain in the tomb.
పల్లములోని మంటి పెల్లలు వారికి ఇంపుగా నున్నవి మనుష్యులందరు వారివెంబడి పోవుదురు ఆలాగుననే లెక్క లేనంతమంది వారికి ముందుగాపోయిరి.
The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and every man shall draw after him, as [there are] innumerable before him.
మీరు చెప్పు ప్రత్యుత్తరములు నమ్మదగినవి కావుఇట్టి నిరర్థకమైన మాటలతో మీరేలాగు నన్ను ఓదార్చ జూచెదరు?
How then comfort ye me in vain, seeing in your answers there remaineth falsehood?
