జ్ఞానముగల కుమారుడు తండ్రిని సంతోషపరచును బుద్ధిలేని కుమారుడు తన తల్లికి దుఃఖము పుట్టించును.
The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son [is] the heaviness of his mother.
భక్తిహీనుల ధనము వారికి లాభకరము కాదు నీతి మరణమునుండి రక్షించును.
Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.
యెహోవా నీతిమంతుని ఆకలిగొననియ్యడు భక్తిహీనుని ఆశను భంగముచేయును.
The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.
బద్ధకముగా పనిచేయువాడు దరిద్రుడగును శ్రద్ధగలవాడు ఐశ్వర్యవంతుడగును.
He becometh poor that dealeth [with] a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
వేసవికాలమున కూర్చువాడు బుద్ధిగల కుమారుడు కోతకాలమందు నిద్రించువాడు సిగ్గుపరచు కుమారుడు.
He that gathereth in summer [is] a wise son: [but] he that sleepeth in harvest [is] a son that causeth shame.
నీతిమంతుని తలమీదికి ఆశీర్వాదములు వచ్చును బలాత్కారము భక్తిహీనుని నోరు మూసివేయును.
Blessings [are] upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
నీతిమంతుని జ్ఞాపకముచేసికొనుట ఆశీర్వాదకరమగును భక్తిహీనుల పేరు అసహ్యత పుట్టించును
The memory of the just [is] blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.
జ్ఞానచిత్తుడు ఉపదేశము నంగీకరించును పనికిమాలిన వదరుబోతు నశించును.
The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.
యథార్థముగా ప్రవర్తించువాడు నిర్భయముగా ప్రవర్తించును. కుటిలవర్తనుడు బయలుపడును.
He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
కనుసైగ చేయువాడు వ్యధ పుట్టించును పనికిమాలిన వదరుబోతు నశించును.
He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.
నీతిమంతుని నోరు జీవపు ఊట భక్తిహీనుల నోరు బలాత్కారము మరుగుపరచును.
The mouth of a righteous [man is] a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
పగ కలహమును రేపును ప్రేమ దోషములన్నిటిని కప్పును.
Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
వివేకుని పెదవులయందు జ్ఞానము కనబడును బుద్ధిహీనుని వీపునకు బెత్తమే తగును.
In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod [is] for the back of him that is void of understanding.
జ్ఞానులు జ్ఞానము సమకూర్చుకొందురు మూఢుల నోరు అప్పుడే నాశనముచేయును.
Wise [men] lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish [is] near destruction.
ధనవంతుని ఆస్తి వానికి ఆశ్రయపట్టణము దరిద్రుని పేదరికము వానికి నాశనకరము.
The rich man’s wealth [is] his strong city: the destruction of the poor [is] their poverty.
నీతిమంతుని కష్టార్జితము జీవదాయకము భక్తిహీనునికి కలుగు వచ్చుబడి పాపము పుట్టించును.
The labour of the righteous [tendeth] to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.
ఉపదేశము నంగీకరించువాడు జీవమార్గములో ఉన్నాడు గద్దింపునకు లోబడనివాడు త్రోవ తప్పును.
He [is in] the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.
అంతరంగమున పగ ఉంచుకొనువాడు అబద్ధికుడు కొండెము ప్రచురము చేయువాడు బుద్ధిహీనుడు.
He that hideth hatred [with] lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, [is] a fool.
విస్తారమైన మాటలలో దోషముండక మానదు తన పెదవులను మూసికొనువాడు బుద్ధిమంతుడు.
In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips [is] wise.
నీతిమంతుని నాలుక ప్రశస్తమైన వెండివంటిది భక్తిహీనుల ఆలోచన పనికిమాలినది.
The tongue of the just [is as] choice silver: the heart of the wicked [is] little worth.
నీతిమంతుని పెదవులు అనేకులకు ఉపదేశించును బుద్ధి లేకపోవుట చేత మూఢులు చనిపోవుదురు.
The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.
యెహోవా ఆశీర్వాదము ఐశ్వర్యమిచ్చును నరుల కష్టముచేత ఆ యాశీర్వాదము ఎక్కువ కాదు.
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
చెడుపనులు చేయుట బుద్ధిహీనునికి ఆటగా నున్నది వివేకికి జ్ఞానపరిశ్రమ చేయుట అట్టిదే.
[It is] as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
భక్తిహీనుడు దేనికి భయపడునో అదే వానిమీదికి వచ్చును నీతిమంతులు ఆశించునది వారికి దొరుకును.
The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
సుడిగాలి వీచగా భక్తిహీనుడు లేకపోవును. నీతిమంతుడు నిత్యము నిలుచు కట్టడమువలె ఉన్నాడు.
As the whirlwind passeth, so [is] the wicked no [more:] but the righteous [is] an everlasting foundation.
సోమరి తనను పని పెట్టువారికి పండ్లకు పులుసువంటివాడు కండ్లకు పొగవంటివాడు.
As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so [is] the sluggard to them that send him.
యెహోవాయందు భయభక్తులు కలిగియుండుట దీర్ఘాయువునకు కారణము భక్తిహీనుల ఆయుస్సు తక్కువై పోవును.
The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
నీతిమంతుల ఆశ సంతోషము పుట్టించును. భక్తిహీనుల ఆశ భంగమై పోవును.
The hope of the righteous [shall be] gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
యథార్థవంతునికి యెహోవా యేర్పాటు ఆశ్రయదుర్గము పాపముచేయువారికి అది నాశనకరము.
The way of the LORD [is] strength to the upright: but destruction [shall be] to the workers of iniquity.
నీతిమంతుడు ఎన్నడును కదలింపబడడు భక్తిహీనులు దేశములో నివసింపరు.
The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.
నీతిమంతుని నోరు జ్ఞానోపదేశమును పలుకును మూర్ఖపు మాటలు పలుకు నాలుక పెరికివేయబడును.
The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.
నీతిమంతుని పెదవులు ఉపయుక్తములైన సంగతులు పలుకును భక్తిహీనుల నోట మూర్ఖపు మాటలు వచ్చును.
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked [speaketh] frowardness.
