உயிர்த்தெழுதல் வசனங்கள்

Verses on the cross and the resurrection.

1. நம்முடைய மீறுதல்களினிமித்தம் அவர் காயப்பட்டு, நம்முடைய அக்கிரமங்களினிமித்தம் அவர் நொறுக்கப்பட்டார்; நமக்குச் சமாதானத்தை உண்டுபண்ணும் ஆக்கினை அவர்மேல் வந்தது; அவருடைய தழும்புகளால் குணமாகிறோம்.

   But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

2. இயேசு காடியை வாங்கினபின்பு, முடிந்தது என்று சொல்லி, தலையைச் சாய்த்து, ஆவியை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்.

   When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

3. அப்பொழுது இயேசு: பிதாவே, இவர்களுக்கு மன்னியும், தாங்கள் செய்கிறது இன்னதென்று அறியாதிருக்கிறார்களே என்றார். அவருடைய வஸ்திரங்களை அவர்கள் பங்கிட்டுச் சீட்டுப்போட்டார்கள்.

   Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

4. நாம் பாவிகளாயிருக்கையில் கிறிஸ்து நமக்காக மரித்ததினாலே, தேவன் நம்மேல் வைத்த தமது அன்பை விளங்கப்பண்ணுகிறார்.

   But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

5. நாம் பாவங்களுக்குச் செத்து, நீதிக்குப் பிழைத்திருக்கும்படிக்கு, அவர் தாமே தமது சரீரத்திலே நம்முடைய பாவங்களைச் சிலுவையின்மேல் சுமந்தார்; அவருடைய தழும்புகளால் குணமானீர்கள்.

   Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

6. தூதன் அந்த ஸ்திரீகளை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் பயப்படாதிருங்கள்; சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்ட இயேசுவைத் தேடுகிறீர்கள் என்று அறிவேன். அவர் இங்கே இல்லை; தாம் சொன்னபடியே உயிர்த்தெழுந்தார்; கர்த்தரை வைத்த இடத்தை வந்து பாருங்கள்;

   And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

7. இயேசு அவளை நோக்கி: நானே உயிர்த்தெழுதலும் ஜீவனுமாயிருக்கிறேன், என்னை விசுவாசிக்கிறவன் மரித்தாலும் பிழைப்பான்; உயிரோடிருந்து என்னை விசுவாசிக்கிறவனெவனும் என்றென்றைக்கும் மரியாமலும் இருப்பான்; இதை விசுவாசிக்கிறாயா என்றார்.

   Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

8. நான் அடைந்ததும் உங்களுக்குப் பிரதானமாக ஒப்புவித்ததும் என்னவென்றால், கிறிஸ்துவானவர் வேதவாக்கியங்களின்படி நமது பாவங்களுக்காக மரித்து, அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டு, வேதவாக்கியங்களின்படி மூன்றாம்நாளில் உயிர்த்தெழுந்து,

   For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

9. மரணமே! உன் கூர் எங்கே? பாதாளமே! உன் ஜெயம் எங்கே? மரணத்தின் கூர் பாவம், பாவத்தின் பெலன் நியாயப்பிரமாணம். நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினாலே நமக்கு ஜெயங்கொடுக்கிற தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்.

   O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory? The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law. But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

10. மேலும் பிதாவின் மகிமையினாலே கிறிஸ்து மரித்தோரிலிருந்து எழுப்பப்பட்டதுபோல, நாமும் புதிதான ஜீவனுள்ளவர்களாய் நடந்துகொள்ளும்படிக்கு, அவருடைய மரணத்திற்குள்ளாக்கும் ஞானஸ்நானத்தினாலே கிறிஸ்துவுடனேகூட அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டோம்.

    Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

11. இப்படி நான் அவரையும் அவருடைய உயிர்த்தெழுதலின் வல்லமையையும், அவருடைய பாடுகளின் ஐக்கியத்தையும் அறிகிறதற்கும், அவருடையமரணத்திற்கொப்பான மரணத்திற்குள்ளாகி, எப்படியாயினும் நான் மரித்தோரிலிருந்து உயிரோடெழுந்திருப்பதற்குத்தகுதியாகும்படிக்கும்,

    That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

12. மரித்தேன், ஆனாலும், இதோ, சதாகாலங்களிலும் உயிரோடிருக்கிறேன், ஆமென்; நான் மரணத்திற்கும் பாதாளத்திற்குமுரிய திறவுகோல்களை உடையவராயிருக்கிறேன்.

    I [am] he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
