1. जो मुझे सामर्थ देता है उस में मैं सब कुछ कर सकता हूं।

   I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

2. वह थके हुए को बल देता है और शक्तिहीन को बहुत सामर्थ देता है। तरूण तो थकते और श्रमित हो जाते हैं, और जवान ठोकर खाकर गिरते हैं; परन्तु जो यहोवा की बाट जोहते हैं, वे नया बल प्राप्त करते जाएंगे, वे उकाबों की नाई उड़ेंगे, वे दौड़ेंगे और श्रमित न होंगे, चलेंगे और थकित न होंगे।।

   He giveth power to the faint; and to [them that have] no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.

3. क्या मैं ने तुझे आज्ञा नहीं दी? हियाव बान्धकर दृढ़ हो जा; भय न खा, और तेरा मन कच्चा न हो; क्योंकि जहां जहां तू जाएगा वहां वहां तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तेरे संग रहेगा।।

   Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God [is] with thee whithersoever thou goest.

4. यहोवा मेरा बल और मेरी ढ़ाल है; उस पर भरोसा रखने से मेरे मन को सहायता मिली है; इसलिये मेरा हृदय प्रफुल्लित है; और मैं गीत गाकर उसका धन्यवाद करूंगा।

   The LORD [is] my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

5. और उस ने मुझ से कहा, मेरा अनुग्रह तेरे लिये बहुत है; क्योंकि मेरी सामर्थ निर्बलता में सिद्ध होती है; इसलिये मैं बड़े आनन्द से अपनी निर्बलताओं पर घमण्ड करूंगा, कि मसीह की सामर्थ मुझ पर छाया करती रहे। इस कारण मैं मसीह के लिये निर्बलताओं, और निन्दाओं में, और दरिद्रता में, और उपद्रवों में, और संकटों में, प्रसन्न हूं; क्योंकि जब मैं निर्बल होता हूं, तभी बलवन्त होता हूं।।

   And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

6. फिर उस ने उन से कहा, कि जाकर चिकना चिकना भोजन करो और मीठा मीठा रस पियो, और जिनके लिये कुछ तैयार नहीं हुआ उनके पास बैना भेजो; क्योंकि आज का दिन हमारे प्रभु के लिये पवित्रा है; और उदास मत रहो, क्योंकि यहोवा का आनन्द तुम्हारा दृढ़ गढ़ है।

   Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for [this] day [is] holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

7. परमेश्वर हमारा शरणस्थान और बल है, संकट में अति सहज से मिलनेवाला सहायक।

   God [is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

8. तू हियाव बान्ध और दृढ़ हो, उन से न डर और न भयभीत हो; क्योंकि तेरे संग चलनेवाला तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा है; वह तुझ को धोखा न देगा और न छोड़ेगा।

   Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he [it is] that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

9. मत डर, क्योंकि मैं तेरे संग हूं, इधर उधर मत ताक, क्योंकि मैं तेरा परमेश्वर हूं; मैं तुझे दृढ़ करूंगा और तेरी सहायता करूंगा, अपने धर्ममय दहिने हाथ से मैं तुझे सम्हाले रहूंगा।।

   Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

10. निदान, प्रभु में और उस की शक्ति में बलवन्त बनो।

    Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11. मेरे हृदय और मन दोनों तो हार गए हैं, परन्तु परमेश्वर सर्वदा के लिये मेरा भाग और मेरे हृदय की चट्टान बना है।।

    My flesh and my heart faileth: [but] God [is] the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

12. यहोवा परमेश्वर मेरा बलमूल है, वह मेरे पांव हरिणों के समान बना देता है, वह मुझ को मेरे ऊंचे स्थानों पर चलाता है।।

    The LORD God [is] my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ [feet], and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
