1. 1

   ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் சமஸ்த இஸ்ரவேலின்மேலும் ராஜாவாயிருந்தான்.

   So king Solomon was king over all Israel.

2. 2

   அவனுக்கு இருந்த பிரபுக்கள்: சாதோக்கின் குமாரனாகிய அசரியா பிரதான மந்திரியாயிருந்தான்.

   And these [were] the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,

3. 3

   சீசாவின் குமாரராகிய ஏலிகோரேப்பும் அகியாவும் சம்பிரதிகளாயிருந்தார்கள்; அகிலூதின் குமாரன் யோசபாத் மந்திரியாயிருந்தான்.

   Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.

4. 4

   யோய்தாவின் குமாரன் பெனாயா படைத்தலைவனும், சாதோக்கும் அபியத்தாரும் ஆசாரியர்களுமாயிருந்தார்கள்.

   And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada [was] over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar [were] the priests:

5. 5

   நாத்தானின் குமாரன் அசரியாமணியகாரரின் தலைவனாயிருந்தான்; நாத்தானின் குமாரன் சாபூத் ராஜாவின் பிரதானியும் இஷ்டனுமாயிருந்தான்.

   And Azariah the son of Nathan [was] over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan [was] principal officer, [and] the king’s friend:

6. 6

   அகீஷார் அரமனை விசாரிப்புக்காரனும், அப்தாவின் குமாரன் அதோனீராம் பகுதி விசாரிப்புக்காரனுமாய் இருந்தான்.

   And Ahishar [was] over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda [was] over the tribute.

7. 7

   ராஜாவுக்கும் அவன் அரமனைக்கும்வேண்டிய உணவுப்பொருள்களைச் சேகரிக்கிற பன்னிரண்டு மணியகாரர் சாலொமோனுக்கு இஸ்ரவேல் தேசமெங்கும் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் மாதத்துக்கு ஒவ்வொருவராக வருஷமுழுவதும் பராமரித்துவந்தார்கள்.

   And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.

8. 8

   அவர்கள் நாமங்களாவன: ஊரின் குமாரன், இவன் எப்பிராயீம் மலைத்தேசத்தில் இருந்தான்.

   And these [are] their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:

9. 9

   தேக்கேரின் குமாரன், இவன் மாக்காத்சிலும், சால்பீமிலும், பெத்ஷிமேசிலும், ஏலோன்பெத்தானானிலும் இருந்தான்.

   The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-hanan:

10. 10

    ஏசேதின் குமாரன், இவன் அறுபோத்தில் இருந்தான்; சோகோவும் எப்பேர் சீமையனைத்தும் இவன் விசாரிப்பில் இருந்தது.

    The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him [pertained] Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:

11. 11

    அபினதாபின் குமாரன், இவன் தோரின் நாட்டுப்புறமனைத்திற்கும் விசாரிப்புக்காரனாயிருந்தான்; சாலொமோனின் குமாரத்தியாகிய தாபாத் இவனுக்கு மனைவியாயிருந்தாள்.

    The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

12. 12

    அகிலூதின் குமாரனாகிய பானா, இவன் விசாரிப்பில், தானாகும், மெகிதோவும், சர்த்தனாவுக்குப் பக்கமாகவும் யெஸ்ரயேலுக்குக் கீழாகவும் பெத்செயான் தொடங்கி ஆபேல் மெகொல்லாமட்டும்யக்மெயாமுக்கு அப்புறத்துமட்டும் இருக்கிற பெத்செயான் அனைத்தும் இருந்தது.

    Baana the son of Ahilud; [to him pertained] Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which [is] by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah, [even] unto [the place that is] beyond Jokneam:

13. 13

    கேபேரின் குமாரன், இவன் கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்தில் இருந்தான்; கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள மனாசேயின் குமாரனாகிய யாவீரின் கிராமங்களும் மதில்களும் வெண்கலத் தாழ்ப்பாள்களுமுள்ளபாசான்தேசத்தினுடைய அறுபது பெரிய பட்டணங்களுள்ள அர்கோப் சீமையும் இவன் விசாரிப்பில் இருந்தது.

    The son of Geber, in Ramoth-gilead; to him [pertained] the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which [are] in Gilead; to him [also pertained] the region of Argob, which [is] in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:

14. 14

    இத்தோவின் குமாரன் அகினதாப், இவன் மக்னாயீமில் இருந்தான்.

    Ahinadab the son of Iddo [had] Mahanaim:

15. 15

    அகிமாஸ், இவன் நப்தலியில் இருந்தான்; இவன் சாலொமோனுக்கு இருந்த ஒரு குமாரத்தியாகிய பஸ்மாத் என்பவளை விவாகம்பண்ணினான்.

    Ahimaaz [was] in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

16. 16

    ஊசாயின் குமாரன் பானா, இவன் ஆசேரிலும் ஆலோத்திலும் இருந்தான்.

    Baanah the son of Hushai [was] in Asher and in Aloth:

17. 17

    பருவாவின் குமாரன் யோசபாத், இவன் இசக்காரில் இருந்தான்.

    Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:

18. 18

    ஏலாவின் குமாரன் சீமேயி, இவன் பென்யமீனில் இருந்தான்.

    Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:

19. 19

    ஊரியின் குமாரன் கேபேர், இவன் எமோரியரின் ராஜாவாகிய சீகோனுக்கும் பாசானின் ராஜாவாகிய ஓகுக்கும் இருந்த தேசமாகிய கீலேயாத்தேசத்தில் இருந்தான்; இவன்மாத்திரம் அத்தேசத்தில் அதிபதியாய் இருந்தான்.

    Geber the son of Uri [was] in the country of Gilead, [in] the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and [he was] the only officer which [was] in the land.

20. 20

    யூதாவும் இஸ்ரவேலும் கடற்கரை மணலத்தனை ஏராளமாயிருந்து, புசித்துக் குடித்து மகிழ்ந்துகொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

    Judah and Israel [were] many, as the sand which [is] by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.

21. 21

    நதிதொடங்கி, பெலிஸ்தர் தேசவழியாய் எகிப்தின் எல்லைமட்டும் இருக்கிற சகல ராஜ்யங்களையும் சாலொமோன் ஆண்டுகொண்டிருந்தான்; அவர்கள் சாலொமோனுக்குக் காணிக்கைகளைக் கொண்டுவந்து, அவன் உயிரோடிருந்த நாளெல்லாம் அவனைச் சேவித்தார்கள்.

    And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

22. 22

    நாள் ஒன்றிற்குச் சாலொமோனுக்குச் செல்லும் சாப்பாட்டுச் செலவு, முப்பது மரக்கால் மெல்லிய மாவும், அறுபது மரக்கால் மாவும்,

    And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,

23. 23

    கலைமான்களையும் வெளிமான்களையும் வரையாடுகளையும் கொழுமையான பறவைகளையும் தவிர, கொழுக்கப்பட்டபத்து மாடுகளும், மேய்ச்சலிலிருந்து வந்த இருபது மாடுகளும் நூறு ஆடுகளுமாம்.

    Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.

24. 24

    நதிக்கு இப்புறத்தில் இருக்கிற திப்சாமுதற்கொண்டு ஆசாமட்டுமுள்ளவையெல்லாவற்றையும், நதிக்கு இப்புறத்திலுள்ள சகல ராஜாக்களையும் ஆண்டுவந்தான்; அவனைச் சுற்றி எங்கும் சமாதானமாயிருந்தது.

    For he had dominion over all [the region] on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

25. 25

    சாலொமோனுடைய நாளெல்லாம் தாண் துவக்கிப் பெயெர்செபாமட்டும், யூதாவும் இஸ்ரவேலும் அவரவர் தங்கள் தங்கள் திராட்சச்செடியின் நிழலிலும், தங்கள்தங்கள் அத்திமரத்தின் நிழலிலும் சுகமாய்க் குடியிருந்தார்கள்.

    And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.

26. 26

    சாலொமோனுக்கு நாலாயிரம் இரதக் குதிரைலாயங்களும், பன்னீராயிரம் குதிரைவீரரும் இருந்தார்கள்.

    And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

27. 27

    மேற்சொல்லிய மணியகாரரில் ஒவ்வொருவரும் தன்தன் மாதத்திலே சாலொமோன் ராஜாவுக்கும், ராஜாவின் பந்திக்கு வரும் யாவருக்கும் வேண்டியவைகளை ஒரு குறைவுமின்றி பராமரித்து,

    And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.

28. 28

    குதிரைகளுக்கும் ஒட்டகங்களுக்கும் வேண்டிய வாற்கோதுமையையும், வைக்கோலையும், அவரவர் தங்களுக்கு இடப்பட்ட கட்டளையின்படி அவைகள் இருக்கும் ஸ்தலத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவருவார்கள்.

    Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where [the officers] were, every man according to his charge.

29. 29

    தேவன் சாலொமோனுக்கு மிகுதியான ஞானத்தையும் புத்தியையும், கடற்கரை மணலத்தனையான மனோவிருத்தியையும் கொடுத்தார்.

    And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that [is] on the sea shore.

30. 30

    சகல கிழக்கத்திப் புத்திரரின்ஞானத்தையும் எகிப்தியரின் சகலஞானத்தையும் பார்க்கிலும் சாலொமோனின் ஞானம் சிறந்ததாயிருந்தது.

    And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

31. 31

    அவன் எஸ்ராகியனாகிய ஏத்தானிலும், ஏமான், கல்கோல், தர்தா என்னும் மாகோலின் குமாரரிலும், மற்ற எல்லா மனுஷரிலும் ஞானவானாயிருந்தான்; சுற்றிலும் இருந்த சகல ஜாதிகளிலும் அவன் கீர்த்தி பிரபலமாயிருந்தது.

    For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.

32. 32

    அவன் மூவாயிரம் நீதிமொழிகளைச் சொன்னான்; அவனுடைய பாட்டுகள் ஆயிரத்து ஐந்து.

    And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

33. 33

    லீபனோனில் இருக்கிற கேதுருமரங்கள் முதற்கொண்டு சுவரில் முளைக்கிற ஈசோப்புப் பூண்டுவரைக்குமுள்ள மரமுதலிய தாபரங்களைக்குறித்தும், மிருகங்கள் பறவைகள் ஊரும்பிராணிகள் மச்சங்கள் ஆகிய இவைகளைக்குறித்தும் வாக்கியங்களைச் சொன்னான்.

    And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that [is] in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

34. 34

    சாலொமேனின் ஞானத்தைக் குறித்துக் கேள்விப்பட்ட பூமியின் சகலராஜாக்களிடத்திலுமிருந்து நானாஜாதியான ஜனங்களும் அவனுடைய ஞானத்தைக் கேட்கிறதற்கு வந்தார்கள்.

    And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
