What does lament mean?

A lament is a cry of grief poured out to God: in loss, suffering or repentance. Many Psalms and the book of Lamentations (எரேமியாவின் புலம்பல்) are laments, and most of them move from sorrow to trust in God's faithfulness.

புலம்பல் என்பது துக்கத்திலும் வேதனையிலும் தேவனிடம் இருதயத்தை ஊற்றி அழுவது.
